# Delete your account

If you no longer want to use LawLibrary, you can delete your account from the **My Account** page. Deleting your account cannot be reversed.

If you only want to stop paying for your subscription, you may prefer to downgrade to a free account instead of deleting your account.

## Important

* Account deletion cannot be reversed.
* Make sure you want to permanently delete your account before you continue.

## Delete your account

1. Sign in to LawLibrary.
2. Click on your name in the top-right menu and click **My Account**.
3. Click **Delete account**.
4. Confirm that you want to delete your account.
5. Enter a reason for deleting your account.
6. Check the box to confirm that you understand the process cannot be reversed.
7. Complete the deletion process.
